Florida was born on March 27, 1920, in Springer, N.M., to the late Dionicio and Victoria Aragon. She was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, N.M. and currently of San Antonio, Texas.
She will be sadly missed by her partner Roberto Castellano of San Antonio, and his family who cared for her the last years of her life.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Cecelia, Adela and Annie. Her sister and brother-in-law Arselia and Leopoldo Archibeque of Toledo, Ohio. Her grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Florida was preceded in death by her parents Dionicio and Victoria Aragon, her spouse Antonio Abeyta, brothers Gregorio and Sabino Aragon, sister Arculina Crespin and stepsons Luis, Ramon, Manuel.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by the Rev. C. John Brasher at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011. She will be laid to rest following the mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas, N.M.
