CHARLES "Bill" ABERNATHY, 82, died March 10, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. Formerly of Memphis, Mr. Abernathy resides in Red Banks, MS. He is survived by his wife Virginia Abernathy; two sons, Charles M. Abernathy, of Hernando, MS and Richard L. Abernathy of Memphis; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters. Services for Mr. Abernathy will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, March 14, at 2:30 p.m. with visitation from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family requests that Memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
