Eileen W. Abernathy, 93, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Villa Toscana Retirement in Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 2, at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Eileen was born in Troy, Texas, to the late Edward and Anna Lee Kosel Haedge. She graduated from Temple High School in 1938 and attended Hieronymus Business School in 1940. She married Roy Abernathy on October 6, 1942, in Killeen at the First Methodist Church. Eileen was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church and a member of the Rebekah's. She was employed at Scott and White Hospital in Temple and also at Waco Bone & Joint Clinic in Waco.

She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie L. Abernathy, of Corsicana, Texas, and Barbara A. Ingram, of Houston; grandchildren, Andrew Ingram and Melissa Ingram Wright; and great-grandchild, Collin Ingram, of Houston.
