Arlington B. Abels, 86, 514 N. Seventh St., Coldwater, died at 11:20 a.m. Dec. 21, 2009, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born March 6, 1923, in Coldwater, to John and Christine Uppenkamp Abels. On Nov. 16, 1979, he married Helen Abels, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Eddie (Pennie) Abels, Coldwater; two stepdaughters, Johanna Linderman, Lakeland, Fla., and Louise Linderman, Winchester; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild; two stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Sylvester and Bill Abels.
He retired from the former New Idea plant in Coldwater, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all in Piqua.
Services are 9 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating.
