Joseph Conrad Abell, 58, died of cancer at 12:20 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Mary Immaculate Hospital. he had been in failing health since November. He was a farmer & resided at Route 4, Lebanon.
Mr. Abell was a son of the late Robert Lee & Theresa Catherine Lee Abell, born November 26, 1908 in Marion County. He was married to Mrs. Georgia Murphy Abell, who survives. he was born & reared in the Calvary community.
Also surviving are a son, Billy Abell, Lebanon; three daughters, Mrs. Bobby Lanham, Gravel Switch, Mrs. Glenn Singleton, & Mrs. Don Lane, Danville; two brotherss, Dennis Abell, Route 1, Lebanon, & George Abell, Detroit, Mich.; & 16 grandchildren.
The body was at Bosley Funeral Home. The Rt. Rev. Joseph D. Gettelfinger will conduct the funeral services at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Augustine Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
