Funeral services for Margaret Inez McFadyen Abbott, 87, of Pasadena will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena.

Mrs. Abbott died July 1 at the Genesis Health Care Hammonds Lane Center.

She was born Sept. 19, 1918, in North Carolina and lived in Pasadena for 52 years.

Mrs. Abbott worked at the Hutzler's store that was in the Southdale Shopping Center in the 1970s and at Sears in the late 1960s.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Abbott enjoyed crocheting and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Henry L. Abbott Sr.; two brothers, George and Ernest McFadyen; and four sisters, Annabelle, Dena and Mary McFadyen and Susie Younger.

Survivors include three sons, Henry L. Abbott Jr. of Mississippi and Florida, Bruce A. Abbott of New Jersey and Dale R. Abbott; one sister, Thelma McFadyen of Brooklyn; and three grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
