Funeral services for Miriam B. Abbott, 92, Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2015.
Miriam retired after 30 years of teaching at Eastlawn Elementary and Parkview Middle Schools. She was also a lifelong member of Wall Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Diann Lucas and her husband, John; two grandchildren, Bill Lucas and his wife, Stephanie and Pam Connerly and her husband, Brandon; three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Gwen and Hannah Connerly; and cousins, Hobby Gibbs, Don Rose and Kelly Colvin.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Kenneth Abbott and parents, Ewell and Elizabeth Swartz.
Visitation will from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
