Ruth Abbott, 91, a resident of Burlington died on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Skagit Valley Hospital. Born May 26, 1912 in New Rockford, ND, she was a daughter of Herman and Randi Hallquist. In the early 1940's the family moved out of the Seattle area, and in 1990 she moved to Burlington.

Survivors include one son, Roger Hintgen of Burlington; one brother, Lawerence Hallquist of Seattle; one grandchild, Christopher Hintgen of Bellingham; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Sadie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Hintgen in 1955; her husband, Bernard Abbott in 1996; and granddaughter, Kelly Hintgen in 1983.

Private interment will be in Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale.
