Son of Andrew Jackson and Fannie Frances Abbot.

United in marriage to Lucinda Catherine Keeth on March 3, 1881. To this union eight children were born. Two sons passed away in the years 1896 and 1898. Another son Jack, passed away January 11, 1938. His wife died Feb. 22, 1942.

Following the death of his companion, Mr. Abbot spent the remainder of his life with his children. At the time of his death he was at the home of his son George in Eldon.
He leaves to mourn his passing, five children; one son, George Abbot of Eldon, and four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Shipley and Mrs. Maud Allee of Eldon. Mrs. Lucy Cobble of Richland, Mrs. Alpha Wright of Kansas City, Kan.; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. All his children were at his bedside through most of his last illness and at the time of his death.

Mr. Abbot was converted and baptized into the Christian Church in the year 1896 and remained a faithful Christian until God called him home. He served as deacon of the Glover Chapel Church for a number of years, until his three score and ten years let him retire. He was known for his kindness to his family and friends, knowing God's way and letting it shine through his life to bless those about him.
