Elizabeth Maude Lyke Weaver Willis was born 27 May 1878 in Copemish, Michigan. She was the last child out of ten to John F. Lyke and Malissa Angeline Waterhouse Lyke. In 1877, John moved his family from Orland, Steuben County, Indiana to Copemish. Sometime in 1880s, Malissa and John seperated. Malissa moved to East Gilead, Michigan and stayed with her father John L. Waterhouse. She brought Elizabeth with her. Some of the other younger children came and lived with Malissa and married here.
Elizabeth married Oliver Allen Weaver Oct 3, 1902. From this union they had six children that lived. Oliver died in 1921 of pneumonia. She remarried on Jan 27, 1951 to a Carl Willis.
Elizabeth died Aug 22, 1968 at the age of 90 in Coldwater, Michigan. She died of diabetic shock and pneumonia. She was known to be loving to all she knew.
