Phillip Lyn Smith II was born on December 6th, 1984 to Phillip Lyn Smith I and Barbara Hill Smith. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Phillip graduated from Stephenson High School and attended Atlanta Technical College. Throughout his life Phillip was a football fanatic and enjoyed fishing with his dad. Phillip loved sports, video games, was an avid shoe collector, and most importantly he loved his family.
Phillip was the backbone of his family and was always laughing. His positive energy was so compelling it brought happiness to every event, creating special memories for friends and family. Phillip was a devoted husband and father. He married Nikeshia Smith and together they raised two children, Phillip Lyn Smith III (7) and Christina Elise Smith (4). He was the eldest of four brothers and made sure to take the wisdom from his parents and passed it along to any and every one he encountered. He was a pillar in his community and was loved, admired, and treasured by many. He took on several roles including brother, father, mentor, friend, and hero.
