Ray Allen Bixler, age 10, of 1447 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the home of his father in Hegins.
He was born on Monday, August 24, 1998 in Harrisburg a son of Travis D. Bixler of Hegins and Pamela S. Bixler of Valley View.
He was a member of the Weekenders Junior Bowling League of Strike Time Lanes Valley View, he was an Honor Roll Student at Hegins Hubley Elementary School; a member of the Tri Valley Elementary Band where he was Band Member of the Month for Trumpet, he received 2nd place in the Continental Mathematics League; he was a former member of the Valley View Red Sox baseball team, and a former member of Scout Pack 662 of Valley View.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Delphin and Norma (Boyer) Mauser.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Katie L Bixler of Valley View; paternal grandparents, Dale L. and Nancy (Schwartz) Bixler of Fearnot; paternal Great Grandmother, Hattie Schwartz of Pine Grove; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jan Mills officiating.
Burial was made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample,
