Aglaé Jocelyne Deslongchamps
Birth: May 13, 1933
Lanaudiere Region
Quebec, Canada
Death: Apr. 19, 1984
Montreal Region
Quebec, Canada

Singer. Born Jocelyne Deslongchamps in l'Epiphanie, Quebec, she made her music debut under the name "Josette France" in 1950. It was after the success of her song "Aglaé" that she followed the advice of singer Felix Leclerc and adopted Aglaé as her stage name. At about the same time, she married French singer and musician Pierre Roche and moved to France, where she would live for most of her career. She is best remembered for recording popular songs such as "Ah! Si mon moine voulait danser," "La bastringue," "Mon manège à moi," "Marie-toi," and "Alouette." In addition, she also appeared both on television and in motion pictures. (bio by: G.Photographer)
