Revolutionary War Figure. She was dubbed the "Mother of the Boston Tea Party" for her active involvement in the execution of that event. She cared for the wounded from the Battle of Bunker Hill, removing a bullet from one wounded soldier's cheek. Under cover of darkness, she risked her life to deliver dispatches from General Washington to behind enemy lines during the siege of Boston. Both Washington and Lafayette visited her at her home. (bio by: Eric Thomsen)
