KILLED BY FALLING TREE
Walter Kreger, a twelve year old boy, was killed by a falling tree on William Gardner's place three miles east of Scott P.O. Monday.
Wm. Gardner, Bert Alspaugh and the boy were engaged in sawing the tree and when it started to fall it was expected to fall north and started in that direction but swung around to the east and caught the lad crushing his life out immediately.
He was an orphan boy and made his home with Mr. Gardner and attended school in that vicinity last winter. The funeral was held Tuesday and interment made in the cemetery near Scott.
