Funeral services for Mrs. L. S. EADS, age 45, were held last Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, at the Camrick school house by Rev. W. C. Bryan. Burial was made in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
Mrs. EADS passed away last Thursday, June 18, in the hospital at Liberal, Kans., where she had been taken for treatment, following a lingering illness.
Emma Pearl (Doty) EADS was born October 9, 1883 at Iron Hill Iowa. She was married to L. S. EADS on September 4, 1903, moving to Texas county, Okla., in 1906, settling in the Grand Valley district, and has resided there ever since.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her departure, her father, G. W. DOTY, and seven children, as follows, ranging in ages from 2 to 19 years: Mrs. Irma SCOTT, Dare EADS, Aubrey EADS, Ruby EADS, Dot EADS, Alma EADS and Eugene EADS, one child having died at the age of 3 years.
Mrs. EADS was a very conscientious woman and was always strong for the right. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She passed away on June 18, 1929 at the age of 45 years, 8 months and 19 days.
