viola was the daughter of george calvin burkett and lucy kelly burkett. she married eugene willard bonner on sept 26,1959 in palisade, colo. her husband was a uranium miner in colo. they moved to arkansas in 1974 and lived there till eugene died in 1979. she returned to lawton (her hometown) and remained there until her death in 2002. she shares a tombstone in the park cem., charleston, ark. with her husband, but she is buried in the pecan cem., lawton, okla. vi was a special friend. she gave my son his first haircut. in 1962.
