Hazel Nadine Barnett, 86-year-old "Grove Icon," passed away Sept. 17, 2011. Hazel was born Dec. 4, 1924, to Karl and Anna Belle Flickinger. She married Leslie "Pete" Barnett on July 25, 1945, and moved to Grove, Okla., in 1960. She was preceeded in death by her husband Leslie "Pete" Barnett, her son Larry Barnett and three grandsons, Randy Boyle in 1980, David Barnett in 2002, and Zach Boyle in 2008. Hazel was also preceeded in death by her brother Herbert Flickinger and two sisters, Alice Miller and Genevieve Ames.
