Born Aug. 18, 1919, in Newport, Okla. to Sam and Myrtle Cypert Clendenin, she died Oct. 26, 2005, at a local health care facility.
She and Charles Anthony were married on Aug. 30, 1937, in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1992. She was also preceded by her parents; brothers, Paul, Robert, Sam and Carl Clendenin.
A lifelong resident of this area, she worked for Stromberg Carlson/General Dynamics before she retired in 1981, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Inez loved her Lord and reading her Bible. She was the definition of a virtuous woman. A time of enjoyment for her was when family and friends visited. Her family meant the world to her. She was a loving devoted wife, "Big Sis," mother and Ninnie. A special time for her was sharing a cup of coffee visiting with her special neighbors. She appreciated them more than they will ever know. Inez was a special person who touched the lives of many and will truly be missed.
Survivors include two sons, Lebert Anthony and his wife Linda, Baytown, Texas, Tom and his wife Flo, Ardmore; two daughters, Charlolett Painter and her husband Larry, Lebanon, and Katie Roberts and her husband Royce, Tom Bean, Texas; two sisters, Sally Jo Cox, Houston, and Betty Burris, Ardmore; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
