Charles T. Alford was born October 29, 1907, in Arkansas, son of Robert and Ollie Alford, originally of Arkansas, but lived in Purcell, McClain, Oklahoma in later years. In 1920, Robert Alford was County Treasurer in McClain. Charles married Juanita Kelley who was born December 28, 1914.

Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a sergeant in Company B, the 361st Engineering Squadron, in the Special Service Regiment.

Charles died on September 25, 1967 and was buried in the Lexington Cemetery. Juanita married again to Stanley Peery. Juanita died December 15, 1998, and was buried beside her first husband, Charles Alford.
