Bird Rites Are Held At Hardesty
Funeral services for Clifton R. Bird, 68, of Hardesty were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the United Brethren church at Hardesty.
Burial was to be in the Hardesty cemetery. Bird died Friday after suffering a sudden seizure while returning from a Shattuck clinic.
Bird is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lula Brown of Marion, Ohio. He never married. The Hardesty man lived in and around his community for nearly 50 years. He homesteaded with his father. He was a farmer up until some 10 years ago when he became a carpenter in Hardesty. Previously he owned a farm in the area.
