DIXIE ATKINSON DEAD
Little Daughter of John R. Atkinson Passes Away.
Dixie Atkinson, the eight year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Atkinson, died Tuesday night of diphtheria. The funeral was held Wednesday, temporary interment being made on the Richert place south of town.
The child was ill but a few days and although every effort was made to save her life, they were vain. Little Dixie was a handsome child, exceptionally bright and intelligent, and a general favorite with her mates and the towns people. Her loss will be keenly felt by all, and especially by her parents, who idolized the child.
The sympathies of the GAZETTE are extended to the bereaved family.
