Born July 10, 1878 in Calhoun County, Alabama, MR. Ballard moved to the Gibson Station area in Indian Territory day. He was a farmer and employee of the Katy Railroad and a Jehovah's Witness.
Tom Campbell officiated at funeral services Thursday with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery at Gibson Station. Pallbearers were Vern Reese, Tim Meredith, Harold Renfro, Earl Richardson, Sammy Portis, JR., and Myron Bumstead.
Mr. Ballard is survived by three sons; George, JR. of Kansas City, Kansas, Allen of Chicago, Illinois and James of Muskogee; five daughters, Willia May Donnell and Bessie Ice, both of Kansas City, Kansas; Martha Jo Tolbert of Alabaster, Alabama; Jessie Bible of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mary Ballard of Kansas City, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
