Funeral services for Cora Mae Hall, age 73 of San Francisco, Calif., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton with Brother Bobby Crawford officiating.
Cora Mae Thompson was born on July 26, 1932 in Watonga, the daughter of Charlie and Elmira (Dixon) Thompson. She died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, in San Francisco, Calif.
Growing up in Watonga, she graduated from Dunbar High School in 1951 and continued her education at Langston University where she received a BS in education in 1956.
She moved to San Francisco and went to work for Bank of America.
Hall taught elementary school for 32 years, retiring in 1998.
Since her retirement she had been buying and selling real estate.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Phi Delta Kappa national professional sorority.
Preceding her in death, along with her parents, was a granddaughter, Adrian Haley.
Burial will conclude in the Emmanuel Cemetery near Watonga under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Haley and her husband, Otis, of Purcell; sisters, Gloria Brown and her husband, Ike, of Clinton, Vera Terrell and her husband, David, of Dover; brothers, Charles Thompson and his wife, Linda, of Wilbur Forest, Ohio, Robert Thompson and his wife, Tosh, of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
