MADILL -- Services for John Edgar Clement, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Watts Memorial Chapel with Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment will be at Earl Cemetery.
Born Nov. 27, 1906, at Mannsville, Indian Territory, to Rufus Jones and Molly Lephew Clement, he died Jan. 10, 2001, in Tishomingo.
He attended school at Blanchard and served in the Army twice, 1926 to 1927 and 1940-1945, participating in the World War II invasion of Sicily and the Italian campaign under Gen. George Patton. He lived in Redwood City, Calif., before returning to Mannsville where he farmed and was a gunsmith. He was a member of Mannsville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Ralph Anderson, Gary Clement, Max Jones, Tex Marsh, Bret and Richard Parkhill.
