Obert V. Aanenson, 76 Huron died Saturday, March 29 at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 24, 1904 a Luverne, MN the son of Johanna and Thor Aanenson. He came to South Dakota as a young man and married Dorothy Kent. He lived in the Miller and Frankfort area as a farmer and moved to Huron in 1961. He had been disabled since 1959.

He is survived by five children, Mrs. Donavon (Pearl) Kambel, Hitchcock, Dorothy (JoAnne) Dierkson, Iroquois, Charles Aanenson, Sioux Falls, Bertis Aanenson, Phoenix, and Bill Aanenson, San Diego; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Carl Aanenson, Lake Preston and Lawrence Hanson, Luverne, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 2 in the Welter Funeral Home with Father Donald Molumby officiating. Burial was in the GAR Cemetery, Miller.

Active pallbearers were Gordon Dierkson, Melvin R. Puffer, Wendell Danielson, Orville Tollefson, Ray Watson and Mel Hathaway.

Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Province and Andrew Dosch.
