Burial will be in Afton Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.Bateman died at 7:20 a.m. Saturday at Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.He was born in Wood County. He married Wilma Gibson on Aug. 18, 1964, in Weatherford. He had lived in Dickens County most of his life and was a retired truck driver.
