Mary Jean Adams 87, died Feb. 24, 2012. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.Tuesday at St Patrick Catholic Church. Mary Jean is survived by her cousins, Eileen Lekin of Cedar Rapids and Frances and Jim Gatzemeyer of Belevue, Neb.;her dear friends, Glenda and Greg Michel Jr., Karen Sevcik, Marjorie McDonald and Elaine Young and many other cousins and friends.
Mary Jean was born Feb 7, 1925 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Ella Adams, She graduated from St Patrick High School in 1943 and Mount Mercy Junior College in 1945. She was employed at Iowa Electric until her retirement in 1984. She was a volunteer for Hospice of Mercy.
