Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (Iowa time) this Friday at Hesper Lutheran church for Olaf Aasum, 68, who died Tuesday at Caledonia Community Hospital. He had suffered a stroke Friday. The Rev. E.J. Nesset will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Aasum was born on a farm near Mabel, Aug. 29, 1889, the son of Ole and Ellen (Selness) Aasum. He received his elementary education at the Mabel school. On July 22, 1922, he married Mabel Johnson. They have spent their married life on a farm near Hesper. He was a member of the Hesper Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Orris (Lucille) Hareldson, Lanesboro, Minn.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Carl and Sverre of Mabel, Oscar of Spring Grove; one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Emma) Iverson of Mabel, and a half brother, Nicholi Thorson of Decorah. His parents and one brother Edgar preceded him in death.
