Duane Albrecht was born January 9, 1948 in Fort Dodge and attended Pocahontas Catholic High School. He was employed as amechanic for Firestone Tire and Rubber, and retired from Titan Tire. He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and was a member of Steel Workers Union #310. He loved hunting, fishing and antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil; and twin sister, Diane.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna; a son, Shawn of Newton, daughter, Angela Depew of Des Moines; brother, Donald of Birmingham, Alabama; mother Marjorie Abens Albrecht of Pocahontas; and two grandchildren.
