Roy C. Albers, 82, Palco, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Rooks County Health Center, Plainville.

He was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Albany, Ore., to Ronald C. and Anna Irene (Christianson) Albers.

He married Marie C. "Tiny" Carrier on April 12, 1947, in Reno, Nev.

He was a water truck driver for C.L. Soper Tank Service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Dr. Robert C. Albers, Albuquerque, N.M., and Dennis R. Albers, Olathe; a daughter, Marie A. Albers, Hutchinson; a sister, Virginia McGaughey, Taggard, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; inurnment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Palco. Friends can call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville. A vigil will be at 7pm Sunday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials are suggested to the Rooks County Health Center for benefit of landscaping in care of the funeral chapel.
