Allen, Fanny O. - (Lt. 1, Blk. 17, Sec. 1) Frances L. oldest daughter of P.R. and A.C. Osborn, was born April 13, 1866, at Ogden, OH. After a lingering illness of four years, she died February 16, 1940, at the home of her brother, Bert Osborn, in Lakin. She was married January 25, 1886 to Edgar A. Allen who passed away about nine years ago. "Fanny," as she was known, was born and raised a Quaker but, being away from her church most of the time living on the frontier where Mr. Allen was a cattleman, she attended church she could, principally the Methodist and Presbyterian. A picture she loved was one of a person struggling through a storm with this inscription, "Through Storms on Earth to Peace in Heaven."
She leaves an only brother, Bert Osborn of Lakin. Interment was made in the Lakin Cemetery.
