LINCOLN -- Reinhold B. "Lefty" Feldkamp departed this life on Sept. 8, 2013. Born Oct. 19, 1918, in Natoma, Kan., he was the son of George and Mary (Hiitter) Feldkamp. He grew up on a farm in the Vesper community, where he graduated from high school in 1936. He attended Oklahoma A and M (Oklahoma State) University on a baseball scholarship, achieving a Bachelor of Science degree. While there, he met and subsequently married Anna Mae Howell on Jan. 16, 1942.
