Age 37 - born about 1744. Recorded in Warwick on June 3, 1773 were intentions of marriage between John Alden and Charity Cook.

Was Charity the sister of Daniel Cook buried in this cemetery in 1811? He was the son of Josiah and Beriah Cook born in Concord, MA in 1740. There was also a Charity Cook born in Concord on March 16, 1742 but her parents were listed as Josiah & Meriah Cook. There were four children listed in Concord's birth records with Josiah as their father. Three had Beriah as their mother and Charity's had Meriah which could just be a typo or transcription error. Finding Charity's children's death records that may list her birthplace have been unsuccessful so far. A big clue that Mrs. Alden was the Charity Cook born in Concord is that the Aldens had a daughter named Beriah born in Warwick.

If Charity was buried next to Daniel Cook that would be another sign they were brother and sister but her stone was numbered #325 and he is #291. A trip to the cemetery might be needed to see if maybe she is directly in front of or behind him.

John Alden's second wife, Elisabeth, was buried next to Charity.
