Christine A. Cabral, 85, of North Haverhill, NH formerly of Bridgewater, MA died September 14, 2016 in the Grafton County Nursing Home. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Dorothy A. (Doon) and William E. Burke. The family moved to Bridgewater when she was an infant & she lived in Bridgewater until 2014. Christine graduated from Bridgewater High School, class of 1948, was the class secretary and was very active in organizing all of her class reunions. She went to Bryant & Stratton Business School in Boston, graduating from their secretarial program. Right after graduation, she began working for Samuel Cholerton Insurance in Bridgewater, as a secretary and continued working there when it became Estabrook & Chamberlain Insurance Agency. She took time off after having each of her children but always went back to Estabrook & Chamberlain and remained a customer service representative for personal insurance there until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Women's Club and the High Pond Association Social Club. Her hobbies included baking, painting, sewing, crocheting, making crafts and decorations, bingo and traveling. But Christine will always be remembered for her tollhouse and kiss cookies as well as her famous chicken and rice soup.

Wife of the late John P. Cabral. She is survived by her son Richard Cabral and wife Robin of Bellefonte, PA; daughter Joyce Hennessey and husband Robert of Woodsville NH; daughter Cynthia Donaldson of Long Valley NJ; son John Cabral and wife Mary of Oak Point TX; son Jeffrey Cabral of Biddeford ME; daughter-in-law Alexandra Cabral of Williamstown MA; grandson Drew Donaldson of Freeport NY; granddaughter Brooke Donaldson of Long Valley NJ; granddaughters Fiona Cabral, Madeline Bell and Megan Bell all of Oak Point TX and grandson Nathan Bell of Oak Point TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends. She was the mother of the late Brian Cabral and mother-in-law of the late Robert Donaldson. Sister of the late Edmund Burke, Raymond Burke, David Burke and William Burke.

Visiting hours will begin in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St Basil’s Chapel at Bridgewater State University. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
