She was born on Oct. 5, 1924 in South Berwick, Maine, the daughter of Charles and Cora (Wilkinson) Chase.
She served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1947 working in the supply department. She later worked as a die-cutter for South Berwick Shoe Company.
Chase was a volunteer at the Library in South Berwick for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Roland F. Chase of Eliot, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Cora (Wilkinson) Chase; a brother, Robert Chase; and sister Ardys M. Chase.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Monday Jan. 7, 2008 at 10am at the McIntire McCooey Funeral Home 301 Main St. South Berwick Me with Rev. Donna Lee Muise officiating.
