He was married 1st on 21 Oct 1916 at Skowhegan, Somerset County, Maine by John H. Lancaster, Justice of the Peace, to Pearl Austin.
He was married 2nd on 14 Apr 1923 at Skowhegan, Somerset County, Maine by John H. Lancaster, Justice of the Peace, to Mabel Tuttle.
On November 5, 1937, Frank L. Brooks was found dead in his one-room shack on the Martin Stream Road. According to the newspaper article in the Kennebec Daily Journal entitled, "Officials study Norridgewock Mystery Death"—Sherriff Martin J. Gallant said, "Brooks, about 66, apparently had been dead about a week" His body was turned over to Dr. Walter S. Stinchfield, medical examiner, for an autopsy. Gallant said the body was found by Tony Loring, a friend of Brooks, lying on the floor of the shack near two overturned chairs. An autopsy was performed, and the results including the following: Brooks died of natural causes from a hemorrhage of the brain. Article stated that Brooks had a housekeeper, who left two weeks prior to his death.
