Charles Albrecht Plymouth Post March 4, 1911

Carl Friederick Albrecht, a prominent citizen of this city died at his home on the corner of Mill Street and Pleasant Street on Thursday evening from pneumonia. He was born June 11th, 1832 in Ackermerk, Germany and reached the age of 79 years. In 1848 he came to America living first in Sheboygan and in 1860 he came to Plymouth. He was a carpenter by trade and was well known as a carpenter in this city. In 1855 he was married to Julie Struve who preceded him in death 36 years ago. He had a second marriage to Elisa Arnold in 1876. From his first wife he is survived by the following children; Theodore of Mapleton, North Dakota; Guido J. of Minneapolis; Arno of Parelouse, Washington; Mrs. A C Shaw of Spokane, Washington; Hugo of the state of Washington; also 16 grandchildren. From his second marriage he is survived by one son, Orin of Manran, North Dakota and one daughter, Leona at home. He served as mayor and alderman of this city for several years. The burial is in the local city cemetery on Tuesday with Pastor Beisser officiating.
