Alyson "Ali" Carol Gibson

Alyson "Ali" Carol Gibson, age 26, went to eternal peace on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008. Visitation was on Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon. A funeral service followed at 2 p.m.

Ali was born July 5, 1982 to Beth (Deaton) and Jerry Gibson. She is survived by her parents; sister, Nikki (Ryan) Schultz; nieces, Paris and Addyson; special cousin, Cami Deaton; special mother and aunt, Julie Deaton; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Bobo and many, many close family members and friends, all whom Ali had a special place in their hearts. She was preceded to her final journey by maternal grandparents, Jesse and Jean (Spencer) Deaton; paternal grandfather, Sam Bobo; cousin, Jimmy Deaton; and very special friend, Krista Elam.

Ali endured a lifetime of struggles with health issues that others could only imagine. Due to her survival spirit and despite her trials, she continued on to become a beautiful, spiritual young woman. She inspired everybody that knew her. Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel of all. She is now forever free.

There isn't a song that Ali doesn't know. She loves all music more than most. Her wonderful sense of humor and mischievous nature made everybody who knew her love her. She touched so many peoples' hearts; every heart she touched has been forever changed for the better and now aches from her passing.

Pallbearers include JD Bell, Marky Deaton, Jesse Greene, Jason Marvin, Dylan Sears, Dustin Sears and John VanToll.

The Argonne Catholic Cemetery will be her final resting place.

On My Passing

Grieve not for me when I have passed.

Tis such a selfish thing.

For I have slipped life's bonds at last.

For all Eternity.

And though you can not understand.

Such peace I've never known.

Still sorrow wells within your heart,

and death you yet bemoan.

Let grief be ours and ours alone.

If anyone should grieve.

It should be those of us now gone.

For those who yet must be.
