Frank had served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the 2nd Armored Division. He served in the European Theater; fighting in the Battle of Germany; Frank earned the Bronze Star, Overseas Ribbon, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Good Conduct Medal.
On October 8, 1949, Frank married Joyce Lemke in Menominee, MI. She preceded him in death on June 25, 1985.
He had worked at Scott Paper for 39 years. Frank enjoyed logging, spending time in the woods, and selling Christmas trees.
He also owned Galla Northwood Products where he sold a variety of merchandise including wooden items he made.
He earned his Black Belt in Karate while a student of Cho's Black Belt Academy. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed collecting guns.
Frank is survived by one son John Galla; two daughters Julie Caine and Mary Eastman;
a brother Emil (Jean) Rojek of Marinette;
a sister Barbara (Don) Meck of Milwaukee;
12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, he was preceded in death by a brother Paul Rojek.
A funeral service was held at Thielen Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Dennison officiating. Burial at St. Edward's Cemetery.
