DALTON - Persis L Bangs, age 77, of Dalton, Wis., died Saturday, May 27, 1989 at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 1989 at 1:30 pm at the Wachlolz Funeral Home in Markesan, Rev. John Wagner officating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call tonight, Tuesday, from 7-9pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs Bangs was born Dec. 15, 1911 in the township of Scott, Columbia Co., Wis. the daughter of Fred and Maude Maynard Semple. She married William Bangs March 21, 1935 in Waukegan, Ill. She had been a school teacher, an active 4--H member, and had worked for J.C. Penney in Portage for 14 years. She is survived by her husband, William, one daughter, Arlin Waelti of Minneapolis, Minn., five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, and three brothers.
