Obituary -
Erma N. Bakker, 92, Shell Lake died on Tuesday, 5 November 1996 at the Cumberland Extended Care Unit.
She was born 24 July 1904 to Charles and Hattie (Hoag) Millard in Dewey township, Burnett Co. On 10 June 1930, she married Hubert Bakker in Dewey township and resided in Bashaw township until they moved on her parents farm in Dewey township where they continued to farm. In 1966 they retired and moved to Shell Lake.
She had been the church organist at South Dewey Church for many years. She was a member of Lake Park Alliance Church and very active in her church and community.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia (Carrol) Messinger, Barnveld, Lois ( Earl) Meyer, Cumberland, Marilyn (Bud) Scalzo, Spooner and Linda (Gerry) Millikin, Rice Lake; foster son, Carl (Karen) Haupt, Kenosha; 12 grandchildren and 21 gr-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 10:30 on Friday at Lake Park Alliance Church with Rev. Kirk Peterson officiating. Burial was in Clam River Cemetery.
Pocket Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
