Donald Eugene Adams, Sr., 78, of Lafayette, died at 9:08 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Seton Specialty Hospital.
Born on December 29, 1933, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Thomas Roy Adams, Sr. and Dorothy Alice Green Adams. He served with the U. S. Air Force from 1951-1953.
He married Marjorie Phillips on January 1, 1955, in Lafayette and she preceded him in death on May 3, 2008.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Fauber's/Milestone for 31 years and retired in 1996.
He was a member of American Legion Post 11, 40 and 8 and a lifetime member of the Eagle's Lodge. He enjoyed western movies & playing bingo. Mr. Adams was an avid Purdue basketball & Colts fan.
Surviving are his children: Donald Adams, Jr. (wife: Debra) of West Lafayette, Gary Adams, Sr. (wife: Kathy) of Otterbein, Cheryl Cadwallader, Victoria Adams & Penny Jo Adams all of Lafayette, 16 grandchildren & 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 step-grandson, his son-in-law, Brad Cadwallader & a great niece, Dusty Adams.
