Mary Hall and Samuel Allman Sr were married circa December 31, 1852. The marriage is recorded in Jackson County marriages, 1849 - 1956 Volume C page 70.

He had previously been married in 1835 to Rebecca Hatton and had several children. She died around 1850.

Samuel Allman Sr died circa November 16, 1876 in Jackson County, IN. It is not known where he was buried.

There were two mentions of Mrs Mary Hall Allman's death in the March 4, 1886 edition of the Brownstown Banner page 8 under two columns.

Mrs. Mary Allman, whose sickness has heretofore been spoken of, breathed her last on Thursday last, after lingering for several months with consumption. She was the mother of several children, and was a kind-hearted parent. Her body was interred in the Smallwood graveyard. The bereft family have the sympathy of a host of friends....

Pleasant Grove Gruel:

Mary, widow of Samuel Allman, died of consumption last Thursday, aged 57 years. The internment took place on Friday at the Smallwood cemetery....
