Kingman--Funeral services for William Henry Alderson, age 79, who had been residing with a niece, Mrs. Barbara Russell of Rockville Rt. 2, brother of Edgar Alderson of Kingman Rt. 2, who died Monday morning, Feb. 1, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Terre Haute, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville.

Mr. Alderson who had been hospitalized one week, was born May 18, 1891 in Eugene, the son of Henry and Phoebe Hobert Alderson. He was a retired farmer, having farmed in the Kingman area. He had resided in Rockville for the past 15 years. He was a 50-year member of the Parke County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include: his brother, Edgar of Kingman Rt. 2; two nieces, Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Myrtle Bunton of Indianapolis; five nephews, John Alderson of Brazil Rt. 1, Dwight Alderson of Sacramento, Calif., Earl Babb of Sanway, Wash., Taff Babb of Bernard, Minn., and Lloyd Babb of Plainfield; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

The Rev. Fred Stewart officiated and burial was in Silver Island Cemetery, south of Covington.
