Dorothy J. Alley, 85, of 815 Tower Street Pierceton, Indiana, died on 9/25/2009 at 9:21 AM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on September 14, 1924 in Pierceton, Indiana.

Dorothy was born to Alonzo and Orlue (Atchison) Curtis. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana. On May 11, 1946 in Warsaw, Indiana she was united in marriage to William W. Alley
who preceded her.

She was a former employee of the Pierceton Food Market of Pierceton, Indiana. Dorothy retired in 1986. She attended the Warsaw Church of God of Warsaw, Indiana and the First Baptist Church of Pierceton, Indiana. She was a longtime blood donor for the American Red Cross of Kosciusko County.

Dorothy is survived by her loving family including a daughter; Brenda Alley of Pierceton, Indiana; four sons including Larry Alley of Festus, Missouri; Tom Alley of Sarasota, Florida; Rex Alley of North Webster, Indiana and Dale Alley of Pierceton, Indiana. Dorothy is also survived by a sister Marjorie Hostetler of Sidney, Indiana and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband William she was preceded by a son Roger, five brothers and six sisters.
