Barbara Jean Atkins 81 of Williamsburg died Monday February 9, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born May 8, 1933 in Richmond to Frank and Bessie Harris and has lived here most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Fountain City Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include two children Mike (Sheila) Atkins of Centerville and Dianna (Tom) Carlin of Williamsburg, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her husband Rankin died in 1995, one son Tim Atkins died in 1984.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday February 12, 2015 at Fountain City Wesleyan Church with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Webster Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling services. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to help with expenses through the funeral home.
