He was born October 18, 1924 at Henry County, IN to Lester and Bertha Alice (Saville) Bennett.
He was an arc welder working at Chrysler Corporation at Kokomo, IN for over 34 years. He retired in 1988. He was a member of UAW #685.
His family proudly stated that he was a good father and a fabulous grandpa and great-grandpa. After retiring he enjoyed wintering in Florida, fishing, and tending his immaculate lawn.
He married Carol Sue Bennett on May 12, 1963. She survives him. Also surviving is a daughter: Patricia Lynn Parker of Atlanta, IN, grandchildren: Ashely Oaks, Addie Prince and Zach Parker, four great grandchildren and two sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
