Mrs. Tillie W. Bailey, of Americus, died Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital from a complication of diseases. She had been confined to the hospital since May 16. Mrs. Bailey was the widow of William Bailey, who was killed several years ago in Oregon, while in the employ of the Southern Pacific railroad as a brakeman.
She was born in Neundorf, Germany, February 3, 1882, and came to this country with her parents when two years of age. She was a member of the Lutheran church at Colburn and a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Smith Brewer residing near Americus; Mrs. Henry Treida, of near Buck Creek; Mrs. Amelia Leffler, of Americus; one brother, William Zagelow, of Americus, with whom she made her home, and two nieces, Mrs. Velda Dubeo, of Americus and Mrs. Cleveland Stowden of Battle Ground. The body was taken to the Frank and Son undertaking parlor to be prepared for burial and will be taken to the home of her brother near Americus, Tuesday. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the United Brethren church in Americus. Burial in Americus cemetery.
