Elsie Fitzwater
Last rites will be held at 1 PM tomorrow in the Sacramento Garden Chapel m
ortuary for Mrs. Elsie Fitzwater, 77, a native of Sierra City, Sierra County. Burial will be in the Sacramento Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Fitzwater died Sunday in her home, 4504 69th Street, following a long illness. She was reared in Downieville, Sierra County, and for many years was active in affairs of Naomi Parlor No. 36 of the Native Daughters of the golden West there. She was a past treasurer of the parlor.
For the past 16 years Mrs. Fitzwater had lived in Sacramento.
Surviving are her husband, Harry; a son, Harry A. of Sacramento; and her sisters; Maude Meyer and Mrs. Robert H. Olson, both of Sacramento and a grandson.

Elsie Rich was the daughter of Richard and Florence Nightingale Rich. She was raised in the Downievillie area and married (1) Amos Wood Van Zandt, by who she had a couple of children who seem to have died while she was living in Washington state. She then married a Mr. McDermitt and I don't know anything about him. Her last marriage was to Harry Arthur Fitzwater.
